I've had very mixed results recovering from Cheat Day based on what I eat. What are some of the foods that other people have found led to unexpectedly high weight gain, water weight retention, etc.? Pizza seems particularly bad.

Hello, In the first Chapter, under "Rapid Fat Loss" Tim doesn't tell you to read the "Damage Control" chapter. So I thought that there was no need to follow them on my weekly cheat day. Is it really necessary?

I go to them when I need a "filler" food... ya know, something to plump up a meal and make it more hearty while still being "paleo/slow carb". But I have a sneaking suspicion that if I was to cut beans out (i.e my beloved kidney and black beans, etc), I would be losing fat faster. Could they be the tipping point to me losing...

I've been carrying around the book and I've been reading it here and there. However I haven't started anything. I don't need to loose weight but I need to get the belly fat down. How did you start? And then continue through 8pm on Saturday? So like you cheat on Friday night by going out, etc. and then cheat on Saturday DAY and then after dinner on Saturday night around 7pm or so you go back to clean? Could be a bad idea throwing sleep in the middle of it all but what do you think?

Water retention can be a major problem for some when on SCD. With our cheat days, we can retain a LOT of water weight as our glycogen levels are replenished- each gram of carbohydrate holds onto 4 grams of water and each gram of salt can hold onto a pound of water. It's melting off, even with a big stall in Feb. Thank you for all the help! Dec 27: 162.6 lb, 33.8% BF (from scale), Total Inches: 185 March 28: 152.2 lb, 31.9% BF, Total Inches: 172 45 yr old female I set a goal of 24% BF so I still have a way to go, but so far so good.
