Greetings 4 Hour Peeps, I had a rough couple days this week. I ended up in a couple situations, mostly at work (I'm a barista at Starbucks. Yeah, I get to stare at pastries 8hrs-a-day, 5 days-a-week, gnarly.) where I found myself VERY hungry and with no slow carb food in sight (I dare you to find ONE thing to eat at Starbuck...

So I went to a sushi restaurant today (my favorite) and was able to indulge in all the yummy goodness by only asking them to wrap my roll in cucumber instead of rice. That's right! Apparently it's called Kanisu and as long as they're willing to make it you are able to order ANY roll kanisu style. I'm so happy now that I h...

There is a lot being written now about the role of Leptin and Leptin Resistance in obesity (and many other metabolic related conditions) that is well worth knowing something about if you are into re-forming your body. It also has answered for me a lot of the questions about how come the 4HB approach works the way it does. W...

So i started at 200lbs before starting the four hour body. I didn't measure my body fat just because for one I totally believed that this diet would work and also I could tell i was losing body fat just by the way my clothes started to fit. Here is an article I found that discusses the effects of combined black pepper & EGCG consumption in mice and rats. Although this does not directly correlate to humans, mice are genetically similar to us (hence all of our testing with them). Basically, Piperine, a component of black pepper, inhibits the glucuronidation (...

Has anyone read the book Wheat Belly by William Davis? I read about it in the paper today and it sounds just like the 4HourBody, but with more of the science explained. If you've read it, can you let me know if it's worth the buy? Better or worse than 4HB? http://www.wheatbellyblog.com/

This question is for all the women who are on SCD. I know that women retain water before their period and feeling of being bloated is "normal" for most of us. Still, it's really frustrating to see that all the work does not pay off due to the period weight. I think during this time we need most motivation to support ea...
