I find I need the beans in the morning to hold me over until I eat again 9 hours later!

From 228 to 184 in 12 months - Plateau Breakthrough
All,
This has been a life changing experience. 12 months ago my blood pressure was at 150/90 and my Doctor said I was going to start having serious health issues if I didn't get it down.
Somehow I came across Tim's book and it made so much sense to me that I began following it nearly to the letter. The results have been remarkable:
Weight: 228 to 184
Blood pressure: 150/90 to 120/80
Cholesterol: 280 to 180
Waist size: 38 to 33 (nearing 32!)
I have given away about 25 books and act as a "consultant" to about 10 people on a regular basis.
It seems as if I had plateau's at 10lb losses. The most recent one at 192-193 lasted for about a month. Then, one night I made hamburgers for my daughter and I for dinner that I overcooked and we didn't finish. I stuck them in the refrig and the next 3 mornings cut up a 1/2 half patty, probably about 1/4lb. and mixed it in my spinach 3 whole egg omelet - which I eat 6 days a week with 2 kinds of beans and salsa. I lost 7lbs. in 5 days and have now stabilized at 184.
My goal was 180 but I think that's going to so easy that I'm now shooting for 175, 32" waist.

Congratulations on your success! What do you think was the real cause of the plateau break? Did you change anything up? Maybe it was just the extra protein!

I eat a lot of eggs too. Can I just make an omelet of 5 whole eggs to count 30g ? will that have negative effect in any ways?

That's awesome! Congrats on your success!
My blood pressure and cholesterol have been elevated too since I put on about 30-40 lbs in the past year or so. I'm on medication for it, but i got checked yesterday and my cholesterol is almost down to a safe level where I can come off the meds! I've been trying to eat healthy for several months to bring that down, but this is only day 6 of this diet, but I've already lost 9lbs.
My blood pressure hasn't changed much, but I'm going to give that some more time and I'm hoping that if I can drop about 30 more lbs it will make a big difference.
I was at 236.5 when I started, and my goal is 200 right now. Once I hit that I will re-evaluate where I'm at and probably shoot for around 190. I'm 6'1 and a little bigger build, so I've never really been below 195 for as long as I can remember.
I'm starting slow with just the diet and no workouts, so I don't take up too much time right away. But once I get some more momentum going I will consider adding some exercise in there too, and I would love to do the ab 30 day challenge that's on here once I'm a little leaner.
Ebescoby, just out of curiosity, how tall are you?
