I second this idea, having to host a picture some where is sooooo old school!

Things to improve on the site?
We (people behind the site code) are back from the jungles of Costa Rica where we been for last 3 months without much internet access. If you have some things that are broken on site or have some ideas how to make it better please let us know.
Until I hear from you, we will make the challenge builder, so those of us that figured out what works, can help others with workout routines, tasty receipts and others challenges.

Hey, I posted in report a problem but here it is again anyway
Whenever I recruit someone into my team, it doesn't seem to work. I think I get through the necessary steps but i'm still the only member
Thanks and welcome back!

Would it be possible to attach pictures to posts directly instead of having to use a host site like flickr? If that is even possible...!!!
One problem with allowing users to post photos on a website is that it requires the purchase and maintenance of additional equipment to store the users' uploaded content.
Then there are worries over users posting copyrighted or illegal material which means someone from the site would have to police users' content. In addition to that, the site could be sued if they fail to remove such material.
@a_gore21 Tell me more about it. Would it allow more then one image per post, is so would they be slide show? How about answers? Develop this idea and I will build it. You can currently create challenges and upload images to activities or places used on challenges, so we have technology down already. @42Wired it is true all that you say, but others do it and get aways with it, so we can together find some way. Maybe building report feature and empowering members that been with us for longer time (like yourself) to moderate it with us too, can take care of bad images. Where there is a will, there is a way
Help me develop this idea into something that would work well and I am game.I'm not in the know when it comes to the technical side of it.Is it possible to post pictures in answers as well as posts? If the slide show was difficult to implement I suppose you could limit the size of the content that could be in a post/answer i.e. keep it to a size that allows one decent sized picture or two smaller ones along with the text. And I don't think you'd have too much of a problem with user placing illegal content on this site. From what I've seen so far, members of this forum are solely focused on the 4HB idea and the only pictures that are posted are before & afters of the users themselves. The report feature would work well here also. I can see the dedicated members of this forum (which is everyone) protecting the forum.

I'm wondering if we could have a "gallery of success stories"? I recently showed a friend the site and was telling her about this person who has lost 90 lbs or that person who has lost X or done Y but I could not locate these folks to show her their posts. If they were pretty old posts, they were buried. But they'd still be super to have handy for newbies to see.
So I was thinking that we could have a "Look What I Did!" kind of gallery that would be cumulative and sort of like being able to show off a photo album of all the 4HB "winners"!
Also, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but I have not found a way to just search for a post by using the poster's name. For instance, say I know I saw something a while back that "DaviefromDesMoines" posted and I want to go back to it. How would I find it if I don't know how he titled or tagged it? It seems that the search function only works if you know what the exact title of the post was.
Ooops, and here's another one on my wish list: When I want to look back through my own posts, it only goes so far. I'd like to be able to access a history of all the posts I've made (or anyone else has made) from the very beginning.
I don't know if any of these are possible/practical/useful to others, but thanks so much for asking!
Sounds like "hall of fame" page + some kind of better instant search with pager for the profile and similar pages. Give me a week to finish challenge builder and think what would be best interface to solve those 2, will come back with something. Thank you for cool feedback.
All of us are (hopefully) taking various measurements. Why not to have also on the profile site the history of weight, inches (perfectly with graphs) some stats (averaged weekly loss, total loss, etc). And optionally even a before and after pic updated by each user.
I been thinking about that for a while, we even build fat-burner tool that captures that data. Problem is "various" data part, if you guys can help me with figuring out what are few things common across all site members I could add it to the profile. "Before and after" photos sounds like common one, weight too, but then some people do inches and some are into fat percentage (like http://4hourpeople.com/fatburn/ ). Please add topic abou this to new features requests so people chat a bit and figure out what works for most and how would it work. Good feedback!
Ok fairy have granted you wishes

1. This is quick draft: http://4hourpeople.com/home/ - is that something you have in mind?
2. You can search now for specific person questions and answers on their profile under questions and answer tabs
3. Same is true about your posts on your profile
Grateful for your feedback, enthusio team.

Maybe a FAQ or something. I still can't figure out where blog posts actually...go. Seems like on someones page instead of having answers to questions they have asked or answered it should be their blog posts and maybe a second page for that other stuff.
Or maybe I am just stupid.

Perhaps an instant message or group chat feature for easier discussion of topics? One active chatroom, or the ability to send a user a message and chat directly.

I want to echo the issue about where do the posts "go". When someone includes, say, a useful link to a video on kettlebells, or a great post like the cheat day monkey guide, I wish there was a way to "flag" or "save" the posts in a folder so I could access them easily later on.
Most importantly thank you for providing this space to get updates/encouragement etc. from others like myself.
Hi TheGru, I am aware of need and we are working on new ways to find, sort and flag posts. You should see a lot of it coming out within next month. In meanwhile you can flag questions with "follow" to the right of the question and that will keep them for you here: http://4hourpeople.com/question.follow/all-questions-im-following
Thank you for feedback!
I completed the A-B-C of Kettlebell Swing challenge, but there is no way on the site to mark the challenge as completed and when i try to upload the pics it says "No Such Image - id is bit off".
How is one supposed to mark a challenge as completed? Alternatively, has anyone else had issues posting pics?

A mobile version would be great.
I hear you, any apps developers out there? I guess I will just learn that too if no body say yay
You don't necessarily need an app; just a mobile-friendly site (m.4hourpeople.com for instance) that fits well on the screen of a mobile device and is optimized for tapping instead of clicking. I think amobile-friendly site would be a better solution for the forum; this way, when a link is clicked from an email, the user can be taken to the post via the browser, but taken to the post in the mobile site.
