Slow Carb Diet and Exercise

Hey guys,

I have been following the SCD for 3 weeks now. Overall I have lost 4lbs of fat since I started. Currently I am at about 18% body fat. My goal is to get down to between 10-12% body fat.

I wanted to start incorporating some exercises in my routine. If our primary goal is to lose fat, are we supposed to only do the kettle ball exercises? Or are we supposed to also include occam's protocol. I would think that I would need a lot more carbs to do the occam's protocol exercises and this can't be done with the SCD.

So do people mostly do kettleball swings to lose body fat? I was thinking of doing them 2 times a week aiming to do 75 reps.

I just wanted some clarification on what Tim suggests in this book. Appreciate the help. Thanks!

You do not have to incorporate Occam's to lose fat; Occam's is to gain muscle.

The kettlebell swing is recommended because it's a simple exercise that targets a huge variety of muscle groups with minimal effort. You can, of course, do other exercises, add exercises, and even add Occam's, but none of it is required. Find something that works for you and stick to it, and don't overwhelm yourself.

Happy trails!

Side note: Also remember to differentiate between exercise and recreation, which in itself is usually a form of exercise. No need to restrict recreation!

Does swimming count for excercise og recreation?

Thanks everyone. I wanted to include some exercise because I figured it would speed up the fat loss as Tim described in "How to Lose 3% Body fat in One Hour a Month" I will add the kettle ball for now in and track my results. Thanks!
