Kanisu! (Riceless Sushi!)

So I went to a sushi restaurant today (my favorite) and was able to indulge in all the yummy goodness by only asking them to wrap my roll in cucumber instead of rice.

That's right! Apparently it's called Kanisu and as long as they're willing to make it you are able to order ANY roll kanisu style. =D

I'm so happy now that I had my dose and it wasn't even a cheat day. Plus the edamame is also allowed and you can just order a side of veggies or salad to make it a whole SCD approved meal!!

I'm so excited the first thing I did when I got home was share it with you guys ;)

I'll attach a picture for further proof.

Update: In response to all the thansk, you guys are welcome! ;D Love being able to share information that has helped me and could help others!

my pants are wet now. :star:

I eat Sushi on every DGW day. Last time, the rice really got to me, not the usual person rolling the goods, I think. I LOVE the idea of not having to have rice or using DGW tummy room for Sushi!

Arigatou!

According to this cucumbers aren't allowed

http://www.eslowcarbdiet.com/

Amazing how many things I wasn't supposed to eat until I found this website.

Kept wondering why I wasn't loosing weight or inches.

Now I check every single thing I put in my mouth.

These are all restricted from the diet

Sweet onions

cucumbers

hummus made with chick peas (now I make it with black beans...yum)

okra

turnip greens with small turnips in them

squash

butternut squash

canola oil

walnuts

pecans

stevia

artichokes

sunflower seeds

lemon water

    Hi. you purchased the pdf?

Also, how are stevia, lemon water not allowed?

  • yaquii commented Mar 3rd 2012:

Tim say no fruit (lemon) and no artificial sweeteners including stevia.

    Did not purchase the PDF

  • FireSwan commented Mar 5th 2012:

just a note: I've found that that website is not entirely accurate.

  • wednesdayware commented May 29th 2012:

Yeah, that list is not great. Lots of things on it are just fine. Tim uses lemon juice in of his breakfast videos, pecans and walnuts are a-ok (in moderation). hummus is fine (in moderation). cucumbers are awesome.

The list is limited. I would experiment instead.

This is a cool tip. Sashimi doesn't make me full. I have to pay a lot for it.

Can't wait for my next sushi!

Many of you better places will also offer daikon wrap. Daikon is a sort of radish.
