I've noticed a lot of necro-bumping of threads as of late. Would it be possible for them to automatically lock after, say, 90 days of inactivity?
Would that effect newbies from going back for a reference? I'm not really familiar with how necro-bumping works so just making sure because I go back a lot with questions instead of asking new questions, saved me about nine posts so far.
Necro-bumping is when someone posts something new in an ancient thread, bumping it up to the top of the view.
They should be there for reference, but I don't think people should continue to comment on something that hasn't been touched for three months.
Ah, now I understand. I noticed that too. Thanks for clarifying for this noob!
