Interested in this diet! Just looking for info.


I saw an interview Tim did on the Dr. Oz show and looked him up online and I am VERY interested in starting this diet. It seems to emphasize the low/slow carb point of view, which I nice. I already started cutting white carbs out of my diet and felt a definite reduction in bloating. I'm interested in all the tips the book has to offer. If you have any special things you've learned after following the diet, please let me know.

This is what I know so far, please let me know if I'm missing anything important.

-30 grams of protein within 30 mins of waking up

-On binge day, do squats or some other heart raising activity, for a full minute within an hour of binging or otherwise falling off the wagon

-The cold therapy, which I've yet to try. Any suggestions welcome!

-I found a great list someone provided on this site of foods that are allowed & not allowed so I think I have a handle on that.

First, you should buy the book: http://www.amazon.com/4-Hour-Body-Uncommon-Incredible-Superhuman/dp...The book has some more detailed information and additional behaviors that help to enhance the diet. I still reference it when I need a refresher/motivator.That being said, the 5 main rules to follow are:Rule #1: Avoid “white” carbohydrates. Don’t eat bread, pasta, rice (brown or white), grains, potatoes, breaded fried food or dairy on your slow-carb days.Rule #2: Eat the same few meals over and over again. Meals should include protein, legumes, and non-starchy vegetables; eat as much as you like, 3-4x/day. Rule #3: Don’t drink calories. Avoid milk (including soy), sweetened soda (no more than 16oz of diet), and fruit juice. One or two glasses of red wine are permitted.Rule #4: Don’t eat fruit. Tomatoes and avocados are okay (the latter in moderation). Rule #5: Take one day off per week. Go nuts and eat lots of calories to keep your metabolic rate (thyroid function, conversion of T4 to T3, leptin) up.     I agree, def buy the book as it is very helpful, outlines the rules (although can be confusing for some) and has a lot of information that will blow your mind :) It is worth the price, for sure!
