Without a doubt, fried chicken. I guess growing up on it is part of the reason I'm here and trying this, but it's hard to resist some good spicy popeye's chicken & biscuits.

Mine is the same almost every week. I go to the college where I attended culinary school and buy a huge cinnamon roll for breakfast and chit chat with my former instructor.
After that I usually eat chocolate or candy till lunch
Lunch time is usually pasta with garlic bread. Lots of bread.
Eat crappy junkfood till dinner.
Dinner is usually pizza or chinese.
Crappy junkfood again....

i'm such a sweet whore. Cheesecake is my absolute favorite thing ever, so if I can, i'm all about it on cheat day. For everything else, the possibilities are endless...

toasted baguette, with either lots of butter or lots of cheese. I know most people say to have a SCD breakfast on cheat day but I cant, for me the thing I miss the most is nice warm bread for breakfast. Mom is a baker so I grew up with fresh bread all the time.

I'd love to eat a BIG BOWL OF PASTA but just about never have. (don't really miss the pasta...)
Bread is my favourite thing to have
We start off with toast EVERY Saturday. I'm thinking a bacon sandwich with BBQ sauce this week
I really like having a plate of granny smith apple and cheese
I didn't think about it for weeks, and then realise it's completely off diet so is the perfect thing to have

I'm a sucker for fried foods. Maybe it's from living in the South. This week's cheat meal will include brie-covered fried oysters and fried softshell crab. I can't wait!
that sounds delish!
Sounds amazing, Nawlinsgrl! I admire your will power. I don't know if I could live in New Orleans & stick to slow carb! I'm a southern girl, & share your affinity for fried foods!
OOh, & who can forget the shrimp & grits!
We have a friend who is an executive chef. A couple of weeks ago, I wanted his biscuits and sausage gravy so badly, I hosted a brunch, since we had some mutual friends in town for a wedding, with him as the chef (all it cost me was the groceries) to get him to make them. He also made croque monsieurs (basically a hot ham and cheese sandwich covered in bechamel sauce), crabmeat, brie, and leek mini quiches, and real turtle soup. We also had a bunch of thick-cut bacon too! I definitely look forward to cheat days here in NOLA!

Here is what I ate this past Thursday ( Cheat Day)
Breakfast - French Toast with Cream Cheese Icing
Snack 1 - Half a bag of corn chips with salsa
Lunch - Mcdonalds Angus burger meal with cheddar and bacon + fries and a coke
Snack 2 - 100 grand and a Snickers Dark
Dinner - Calamari,Bread and Alfredo sauce, veal stuffed ravioli with Alfredo sauce, coal oven pizza with ricotta, Italiano sausage and pepperoni,
dessert - turtle cheesecake
BOOOM!!! CHEAT DAY!
Awesome!

I love Home made backed macaroni & cheese. Last week for my cheat dinner I wanted something salty, sweet, savory and carby. So I looked up some different recipes than my usual one for macaroni & cheese and I ended up combining my grandmothers with a newer one. The result, It was the most amazing mac n cheese me and my family has ever had and they are already begging me to make it again.
For those that want it here is the recipe
1 pound of elbow macaroni & cheese
1 1/2 cups of sour cream
1 cup of mozarella cheese
2 blocks of extra sharp cracker barrel cheese
1/2 block of gouda cheese
1/2 block of jack cheese
1 tablespoon of dry mustard
4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
1 cup of kellogs corn flakes bread crumbs
1 tablespoon of paprika
1 onion
1 pound of maple smoked bacon
1 tablespoon of salt
1 tablespoon of pepper
1 1/2 cups of heavy cream
1 1/2 cups of milk
shred all the cheeses with a cheese grater
Put the onion in a blender or food processor and blend until it is almost like a juice.
In a sauce pan melt 2 tablespoons of butter and add the dry mustard and whisk until thickened
add milk, heavy cream, pureed nion, paprika, salt and pepper simmer on low for about 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes slowly incorporate the cheese into the saucepan stirring regulary
In a seperate pot boil the macaroni until it is aldente
after you drain the elbows take the sour cream and mix it in with the elbiow macaronis (this gives it a creamy texture)
Then put the macaroni into a cassarole dish and add the cheese mixture
Fry the bacon and drain it and then cut it up into pieces and add it to the cassarole dish
take the other 2 tablespoons of butter and melt it in a sautee pan then add the cup of kellogs breadcrumbs and stir until breadcrumbs are golden sprinkle on top of the macaroni
bake at 350 for 30 minutes and enjoy the creamy bacony yummy goodness
