Can the myotatic crunch worsen diastasis recti?

The separation of the abdominal muscles after childbirth/during pregnancy. I swear mine has gotten worse and stomach looks bigger because of the separation. Please advise.

Sorry to hear that you feel that way :(

I believe that (especially) post pregnancy women benefit more from core strengthening that is Isometric in nature ex. Plank. Cat Vomits are likely safe too as they strengthen the Transverse. Talk to your Trainer, Mid Wife or Doctor but I think that Myotactic Crunches or any type of crunches, supine leg raises etc are out for a while after giving birth :)

    My baby is actually 19 months old, but still have the separation. Not sure what ab exercise is the best...
