First Ice Bath
That was a fucking religious experience. Also it jump started weightloss. I had been holding at 225 for months on loose SCD. the next morning 219 and it stayed there for a week. I only have a shower so an Ice bath is not part of my regular routine. I was staying with somebody with a tub and tried it out. I've found online a horse trough for 80 bucks that should fit my 6' frame. I'm debating this or a kiddy pool.
You kind of stop feeling the ice after a few minutes. Then when you get out oh my god the 68 degree air felt so warm.
Definitely do this

Ice bath are perfect for the hot summer. After taking mine today, I walk around in 100 degree weather and felt perfectly fine.

Ive had a few ice baths now but started with cold showers. The first cold shower i nearly fainted but battled through! By the third cold shower i was fine...so i went onto ice baths... i filled the bath and put 2.5kg bag of ice in... i wasn't too bad probably due to the cold showers conditioning me. I stayed in fro 10mins, fully submerged, when i got out, Jesus... shivering and numb all over, prickly heat type syndrome and couldn't warm up for about 30mins. Again, after the first one i conditioned very quickly...
Last night I had another ice bath but this time with 5kg ice... again this really got me shivering, numb, prickling!!! I got a really good nights sleep though!
I will keep doing it... do you think 10mins and 2.5 or 5kg is enough to see any effects? I do cold shower most mornings, i actually prefer this now... strange i know!
