When you are on a diet that consists of carbohydrates in any quantity, then the answer to your question is yes. Eating meals heavy in carbohydrates earlier in the day gives your body energy and gives your body enough time to process the carbohydrates to convert them into usable energy rather than store them as fat. However, when on the SCD, it really doesn't matter when you eat, as long as you eat every 4 hours or so to keep yourself from starving. I would suggest that if you are beginning to stall, it would probably be a good idea to cut out your legumes (carbs) from your evening meal to avoid those carbs being stored as fat, since they have a higher likelihood of doing so if you eat them closer to bed time. Hope that answers your question.
