I haven't registered for one yet but that is a goal of mine. I will be doing a 1/2 marathon soon though.
I know there are some other 4HB people that I have seen talking about triathlons like this guy http://twitter.com/#!/tri_ninja

I've always dreamed of doing a mini-tri. There is a great one coming up near me in July consisting of 500m swim, 2 mile run, and 6 mile bike ride. They even have a woman only day!
The ultra endurance chapter encouraged me to seek out a local crossfit studio and try it out! I can really see how these intense (but very concentrated on correct form) can help build speed and endurance for races. They really push you and it's a great group class atmosphere.
What type of training are you doing?

I'm in my 3rd year of triathlon, my goal this year is to complete Ironman Wisconsin in September.
If anyone is interested about how the SCD diet can fit with training, I would recommend two books (not recommending their exact diet, but their concepts can be applied to SCD):
Look through the newsletters or get the book "Metabolic Efficiency Training" at fuel4mance.com. This really helps explain your body's use of carbs/fats, and about teaching your body to burn fat for fuel.
I also think as my season progresses/intensifies -I'll be taking some concepts from this book about pre/during/post training nutrition. Paleo diet for athletes
So far I've completed 2 full months of my base training on SCD and even last mile diets, with no issues.

I'm on the Tri team at my school! I have a few sprints/olympics coming up...along with a half marathon this weekend. I'll be doing a 70.3 series Half Iron Man this fall! (eeeeeeekkkk) and I just started the 4HB SCD....and I'm a little worried with the whole no carb thing..
