But seriously, what part of the world are you from? Be as vague or specific as you like! Maybe if there are enough of us 4 Hour People in one spot, we can do a
4 HOUR KARAOKE NIGHT! 
I'll start it off... i'm in sunny Los Angeles, California! And YES, I CAN see the the Hollywood sign from my house! Well, you gotta walk up the street a bit, and its like an inch wide out in the distance, and sometimes if there is too much smog you can't really make out the letters... but its there and that's what matters!
And on 4 Hour Karaoke night, I call dibs on Total Eclipse of the Heart.

NYC!!!
Excellent idea re: karaoke. 
From the answers above, it sounds like we need to arrange some sort of international skype karaoke event....
I was wondering the same thing the other day. Where is everyone from? What does everyone do professionally? I sing classical music ... working on being a less "fat lady who sings"!
- I'm from NYC too. I figured it would be easier for me to comment here, and any other NYC folks can do the same, that way we won't have to scan the whole thread to find our kind!

I am from London, Ontario - a two hour drive south-west of Toronto.
I live in a small city (400K residents or so), surrounded by farmland and rural towns. Beautiful part of the province!

I get a little tinge of jealousy when the first few responses are people in LA and NYC. Two places I would occasionally rather be from. haha
Have you ever been to either city? In my opinion, you're better off where you are. I think both cities are highly overrated. :)
I've been to both, yes. I think I like the IDEA of living in "the big city" as I've been in suburbia my whole life (Guelph's about 120,000 people)

- Meh, thanking him in person is overrated. He probably gets tons of it, and knowing him, it slows him down from what he wants to do. Best thing is to get successful, and write a thank you in the foreword of your own book, thanking him there :P
