Who has your ideal bod?
You know how it is, you either see some hunk or femme fatale on screen with a crazy delicious bod and you think, ''That meat-suit would look good on me.''
Whether it's losing weight or buffing up, do you have a celebrity type that you base your ideal body figure on or look to for inspiration? Brad Pitt from Fight Club? Gerard from 300?

Zuzana from Bodyrock!

I was going to say Jamie Season but this girl's gorgeous!
I'm with you! I'd love my body to look that strong and lean!
You had better get to work. She busts her butt every day. I'm fairly sure she makes a living doing it though......smokin'!
It's a pity the BodyRock movement have it all wrong with diets and exercise.

Interesting posts to read through! Over the years, (I'm 50) there have been so many times when I compared myself to other women and felt bad about my thighs not being skinny enough, legs not being longer, breasts not being larger etc. When in actuality I looked great - fortunately I know this now. I have pictures that prove it! Photos and age give one much better perspective. What I didn't have then was the ability to accept my body for all it's beauty, strength and resiliency. Such a waste! My thighs may look more like pine tree trunks than willow trees, but as one brilliant and wonderful man I knew years ago said to me "You wouldn't be able to ski the way you do if you didn't have those strong, muscular legs." My body (and those legs) have been there for heli skiing, a few marathons, tri-athlons, the birth of two children and most recently through my battle with cancer and subsequent lymphodema. What I now know is that my ideal body is the one I have. I will continue to shape it, test it and do my best to keep it healthy but primarily I am going to appreciate it!

My Favourite plus size model in the world! Alexandra Elise (Underwood) She was on America's next top model, she's a dress size 10, just 2 inches taller than me, and she is gorgeous!
- Beautiful! Amazing that a woman with a body like this is considered a "plus size" model, though...
no kidding - I'd love to be so fat.
'Plus Size' my a$$!! It is comments like this that exemplify how unrealistic we have become re body image. This gal is perfect..anyone who is a 12, 14 or true + size and busting his/her a$$ for real must be dying right now. Set ME back a peg or two. Not helpful, prettypistolx.
she is gorgeous...I can't believe that is considered plus size...
I agree! Plus size? Really?
This would be my ideal too. Beautiful. .

Brad Pitt from Fight Club, I love that Lean Look. I do not want to be bulky, mostly because I never have been, I think I have the stringly lean muscles anyway from basketball and wrestling.

the 25 year old version of myself. She also has perfect skin and hair, and tons of energy, and not near the bad attitude

I have it - though Michelangelo is still sculpting it into perfection. It is there inside of me.
I had a picture somewhere of a random guy with my head posted on it for awhile.

This guy - Arnel Ricafranca (if that IS is real name, haha). He has his own website claiming to get you six pack abs, its mostly just circuit-training workouts and tons of ab routines. I doubt he used this routine to get his body anyway. If that kind of body is actually attainable without steroids, I'd love to look like it!

I've decided to set huge goals for myself and even though i'm at 230# and 21% body fat, i'm going to bust my ass to someday look like this (or as close as i can get)...Henry Cavill in The Immortals, 6% bodyfat

I'm 5 ft 4, busty, and have the shoulders to hold 'em up. Most of that isn't about to change. So, "willowy" is out of the question for me, but every time I see Drew Barrymore on screen, she always manages to look effortlessly good.

La Lynda Carter, my favorite Wonder Woman, of course!
Sofia Loren too! I wouldn't mind having the moves of Jennifer Garner in Elektra. Now if I could just get rid of this pudge and find my waist...i'm praying it's somewhere under there!

A lot of guys are answering brad pitt from fight club but that's exactly who i thought of when i saw this question!

hmm... I'd have to second saying Zuzanna from Bodyrock, though also someone like Scarlet Johanson as Black Widow in Iron Man 2... I'm just a Marvel kind of girl-- need to find a role model who has large hips and breasts like me though who is fit and also aren't photoshopped or airbrushed XP

Bruce Lee, obv.

I'd say Brad Pitt..but not from Fight Club, rather Troy: http://howrudoing.wordpress.com/2011/05/15/interwebs-poke/
Looks like he's about to whoops some serious a$$, haha

Ryan Reynolds, Blade Trinity. Totally not sustainable but cool, nonetheless.

I'm short and curvy, always will be... my ideal body would be close to Kim Kardashian, although my "curves" aren't quite that large

Probably unattainable for a wiry framed person like me but Daniel Craig as James Bond would be ideal or as others have mentioned Brad Pitt in Fight Club.

These two women. Raquel Welch from an old classic movie poster and the other I found on another website. All I could say was DAMN!

Gosh - I really like my body except for my abs - can anyone who has given birth 4 times (14.8 lbs twins included) really have flat abs again? If so, I'm listening... If I have to say someone I guess Halle Berry...
0
as a man I'd like to have the Brad pitt fight club body or Will smith I am legand body as these 2 seem to get my girlfriends attention most! :o)
Mila Kunis if I was a women, I want to look like her , so I can look in the mirror all day!

I don't necessarily need six pack abs...I'd love to just have a flat stomach. It's been about ten years since I had that.
This morning I was looking in the mirror after the shower and my stomach is way down. Shirts that were ready to pop buttons two weeks ago fit perfectly, actually a little loose, now.

You know, this is thread exemplifies the main reason people suffer inside their physical form. '..ideal bod..'??? The very idea of an 'ideal bod' underpins our dissatisfaction of every element of our physical presentation, and is the key factor in the disintegration of our young people who, in earlier generations, had a raft of other attributes to build self esteem upon. They did not have to rely upon an 'ideal bod' for their day-to-day ability to cope.
I got interested in the 4 Hour concept after breast cancer f#@@!d me over through 6 months of chemotherapy, five major surgeries and 10kg of weight gain. 'Ideal bod'??; you would have to be joking. I thought this site was all about health and fitness and supporting each other. I wonder how the morbidly obese members feel about this pointless, shallow and damaging thread. It's confronting enough for me and my 10 kilos.
Yes, I see where you're coming from, but there's a difference between having depressing envy for someone else's features or life and looking up to someone as inspiration or a role model for fitness. I agree with you that with young people there is not enough encouragement to look at themselves seriously and see their beauty over "flaws", but when it comes to being overweight or obese, I think it really helps to have a goal of where you want to end. A lot of these thread replies also seem conscious of their limitations like they won't be as tall as their role model or not, but they don't sound upset about it; they're still driven to earn a similar body. (hang on, I ran out of letters...)
My ideal body has nothing to do with any air brushed pin up, but the athletic Cirque du Soleil performers. To me, they represent an epitome of fitness and health with limitless strength, discipline, and often flexibility. It's never shallow to be inspired by someone, especially if it's pushing you to better yourself. And let's be honest-- we're all here solely to better ourselves. Health is great, and you don't have to want healthy body for appearance, but I don't think it's fair to criticize the people here (like me) who are seeking both health and improved appearance.
I wish you the best here and sincerely applaud your victory over cancer. That alone is inspiring to work hard

I think Katherine Heigl has my idea bod. She's tall like me and not too skinny. I think she's a size 6....
That would be my absolute ideal!

This beautiful girl, pre-baby. She's still banging, but I won't ever forget watching her for the first time in Desperado and thinking I want to look like that when I grow up!

I'd go with Ryan Reynolds circa Blade 3 (not to ignore the incredible Jessica Alba from that movie as an amazing female ideal), or maybe a bigger look with George St. Pierre. While I'm currently 6'2", 210 at 18%BF, I think I'd love to just see what I'd look like at around 205lbs and 10%BF.

Angelina Jolie during her Lara Croft and Alexander days. Recently she's become too thin for my tastes, but back then she had the female body that I considered divine perfection.

I think I could live with those abs. Just add much bigger breasts, and my badass tattoos and you've got it!

Gemma Arterton! I'm not one for six packs etc. Gemma Arterton/Scarlett Johanssen/Kate Beckinsale with Cameron Diaz arms

Ryan Gosling motivated me to get in shape after watching Crazy Stupid Love
That's my goal for this year!!!

0
Bob from Biggest Loser. I think I need to work out more to be like that tho.
0
Tom Cruise from "Mission Impossible" I as we have the same height.
Or Ryan Gosling after watching "Crazy Stupid Love" after realizing womens reaction in the cinema...

I have 2 options in mind first, is a person who I admire the most and who's programs of NLP helped me to get rid of a LOT of insecurities and to make my mind stronger to achieve my goals, Eric Von Sydow (aka Hypnotica)

He was also incredibly fat, insecure and a complete loser until he got tired and decided to change his life, to obliterate the fear of what other people thought of him he used a ballet dress and strapped a dildo in his forehead and went out in the streets of San Francisco like that for 3 weeks, he has helped a lot of people in the world to change their mindset and achieve their goals.
And the second option, would be a most famous one:

So those ones would be my 2 options, there's a long way for me to get there but
IT'S A LONG WAY TO THE TOP IF YOU WANT TO ROCK AND ROLL!!! AC/DC

I think soccer player/Armani model Cristiano Ronaldo is bringing his A-Game physique-wise...Christian Bale has a good physique when he trains for it (except for roles where he is a P.O.W. or 125lb sleep deprived millworker of course haha).

Olga Kotelko. She's not a celebrity in the Hollywood sense but she's famous in her way. She's a 92 year old track and field star who holds every freaking record for her age group and can probably whip my butt too
I'm recovering from injuries as a result of a car accident. I want my pre-accident body back.
I want a body that doesn't hurt when I move. I want a body that is fast, strong and flexible. I want a body that thrives on challenges and defies doubt. I want a body that allows me to do all the things I love to do and do it with style
In other words, I want LauraCox's body

I have big thighs and a pretty big butt. No matter what, that's not about to change. I just want to get a small stomach and thinner face. As dumb as she is, I still think Kim Kardashian has a ridiculously nice body and one I would aim for. It's not overly skinny so it seems reachable for someone like me. (although I would need a boob job to match).. lol
0
For me, its Gracyanne Barbosa. No matter the weight I lose, I'm going to have thighs and butt. So it might as well be toned like hers. Our body shapes are similar (well everything but her fake tatas...lol)

Taylor Lautnear

Same age, same height .. same everything (Except Weight and Body fat)
I am 25% body fat and he is 8%
I still got 50 pounds to lose and get from 25 ==> 8% body fat (long journey I know)

Rebecca Romijn
She is my height (maybe 1 inch taller) and age, gave birth to freaking twins, and looks like this. To lose the baby weight, she cut out dairy, sugar, and starches. (according to an article I read)
Yeah, I would love love love to look like this from the back. She is 39 here.

Jason f*@$ing Statham! I would kill to look like a balding Englishman.

I don't know who has my ideal bod, but I want it back!

But yeah, Brad Pitt from fight club would be good. I'm also down with looking like 'Underwear Model #4'
My goal is to look above average for a beach-goer in Los Angeles, not to impress the dudes at my gym.
