My Then and Now - 50 Days In
Believe it or not, until I had pictures taken I could NOT see any change in myself. The scales and the tape measure said I was changing but I just couldn't "see" it. I really recommend taking pictures like these to confirm.
Start Date December 29th 2010 - weight 93.3 kg (205.6lbs) - body fat % 45.3 (horrifying!)
Pictures taken February 24th 2011 - weight 83.1 kg (183.2lbs) - body fat % 45.7 (yes I lost muscle mass as well as fat)

I "think" you can see there's bee a few inches lost
This morning's weigh in shows i have lost 12.3 kg (27.1lbs).
Looking at my progress, should it continue as it is I should be at my goal size in June

I have Multiple Sclerosis and can't use kettlebells so as exercise I take a brisk 20 minute walk 3 times a week. Oh and no PAGG apart from the occasional Policosanol while I experiment with what works and what doesn't.

Allison, just wondering if you have lost anymore weight or have reached your weight loss goal by now? If you are creating a slow carb app, I would hope you have been successful considering it has been 9 months since you posted this.
We need an update!

Wow! Congratulations! You've done a great job!
This is a great inspiration for me. I am only one week into SCD and I am so very happy to see your progress--and hope I will be making some progress of my own.

Hey there, good work!!
Just wanted to ask what you are using to measure BF%. If it's the electronic type (fancy scales for example) then dont worry too much about the readings - they're not accurate at all especially above 25 to 30% BF.
So don't worry about what John said.. from the photos you've definitely lose heaps of fat!!
For exercise I would highly recommend the squats and wall presses tim suggests - they're really low stress and just enough to help maintain and grow some muscle mass!

Awesome. Great Job. My mom is having trouble starting this program (fear of failure). She has some health issues, as well. She knows I'm having success, but I think that isn't convincing enough because I'm pretty small in general (17%BF). Sometimes you need to see another "you" to make it click.
I am going to send her this link. Just the inspiration she needs! Thank You so much for sharing this.
People post your results.

Good job Allison. Keep it up.
I would suggest to increase your workouts a little bit. Maybe progress to jogging to get the heart rate up or some light pushups and situps. Start slow. But I think it's important that your stimulate your muscles a little more. Also, don't forget to stretch.

Congratulations as a fellow Aussie on this I'm soo happy to see you are doing well on 4 hour, and your results are amazing...
I just think the previous two posters didn't read you initial post properly (such a common problem on forums online) or are aware of the dangers of weight bearing exercise for MS sufferers. Just posting information, and if you hadn't of mentioned MS in your post I would of probably thought similar things about muscle loss.
You are doing great an cannot see what you look like by June.

Thats not very good results if you ask me as you lost 9 lbs of fat yet you also lost 12 lbs of muscle which now lowers your metabolism and basically your body fat actually increased. At this rate you will end up with very little muscle and lots of fat or what we call Skinny Fat.
- Thanks for the encouragement John. Really appreciate that you have read the fact that building muscle through exercise is difficult for me as I have Multiple Sclerosis...but yeah keep the encouragement up and more people like me will leave here and let t

Hi Allison,
Kudos to you for the weight loss. Out of concern for you though, I have to say I wonder if you're doing the SCD properly. If you are, you shouldn't be losing so much muscle along with the fat. Those are the kinds of results one would expect to see from a traditional "calorie deficit" based diet, and would likely lead to you packing the weight back on even more easily in the future. This isn't meant as a criticism in any way. At the very least your discipline in sticking to the diet, whether you're doing it "right" or not, is commendable.
Best Wishes,
Chris

- Glad to hear it. I hope your DEXA guy is right, and look forward to your future numbers. :)
