Game Changer! Garbanzo Bean Flour!!

I have recently discovered the power of Garbanzo bean flour so I had to share!! I have been testing and testing different recipes, so far some of my favorites are fried chicken, fried carrot fries and fried green bean fries (best when fried in peanut oil)! It feels like I'm cheating! I haven't had weight gain from this either. It has seriously changed my life!! Hope this helps some of you guys who are having cravings! :-)

Also known as besan, if you are not familiar with it. I discovered it at an Indian spices and foods store near my neighborhood. I keep intending to make the savory "pancakes/tortillas/crepes/wraps" called "besan ka puda" or "dosa" from it that I've seen on youtube. And there's a "Tuscan bread" recipe I have too, that uses this as its only flour. It's called "cecina". I haven't tried either of these yet, though. After all this time on SCD (17 months), I simply don't miss breads and such, so I've been in no hurry!

I have wondered about nut flours. Can you taste the beans? I think using it as a light breeding or maybe even a thickener is a great idea

I've been wanting to try this. I use Almond Flour for a lot of things, especially adding crunch to chicken. Def. going to pick up Garbanzo Bean Flour now.

You cannot taste the beans! Remember, its all about the seasonings! I use chilli powder, paprika, pepper, garlic powder, salt and termeric for garbanzo mix and I put thyme and rosemary in the peanut oil. DELICIOUS!!
