Peanut Butter???

Anybody else craving peanut butter on Slow Carb? It literally ate a small jar last cheat day and am wondering what is up. It's been going on for months..

If you have Trader Joe's where you live you have to try their almond butter with flax seed....awesome: http://www.traderjoes.com/fearless-flyer/article.asp?article_id=374

The only ingredients: almonds, sea salt and flax according to the label

I am doing the same thing. I crave peanut butter and crackers like crazy. Never been a big fan of it, so it is kind of strange. Glad I am not the only one. No idea why it is happening though.

Peanut Butter and Almond Butter are such good go to snacks on the SCD. I have been reading it can stall weight loss so I have cut it out for two weeks. this is painful!. If I don't see a new low after two weeks it is going right back into the diet.

Eat it. Enjoy it. in moderation...

I think i'm a peanut butter junkie too! i had to cut it out last week because i stalled for 6 days i was eating it as a snack on celery at night. But the other day i couldn't stand it, so i ate just the tip of a teaspoon worth! and it helped. I looked at almond butter the other day at the store and it had sugar, what kind do you get that's legal for the SCD?

all natural, no sugar added peanut butter is just fine. Read the ingredients, it should contain peanuts only. Same with Almond Butter. Just try not to eat the whole jar and you should be ok. I usually do 2 TBSP and wash it down with a little almond milk. We got through a jar of almond and peanut butter once a week. And now I make my own almond milk, with a 1/4 tsp of stevia and a tsp of vanilla, per quart that I make. So good
