Back in March 2009, I was surfing the Internet, looking for new ideas on how to loose weight and I stumbled upon Tim Ferris' blog. As they say, the rest is history... I've been carrying around the book and I've been reading it here and there. However I haven't started anything. I don't need to loose weight but I need to get the belly fat down. How did you start? What Motivated you all to begin? It seem very overwhelming. I have told other's about the book and its a good read.

You know you need to follow SCD when...

You're reading, "The Night Before Chrstmas", with your pre-schooler, and as you are reading the description of Santa's FABULOUS BELLY, your kid stops you and says, "JUST LIKE YOUR BELLY MOMMY! I LOVE YOUR BIG BELLY." Incredibly cute, and horrific at the same time! Kettlebells here we come; I mean it this time.

I read the 4HB and even tried slow carb diet in order to look human for a Caribbean cruise I was getting ready to go on but I never really felt the motivation to take good care of myself. Taking a step back to a few decades ago (has it been that long?), in my twenties, I was bulletproof, eating and doing as I pleased whi...

So, I'm posting these here as an incentive to get my arse straight into gear again after indulging over the week in lieu of my time of the month. As you can see, there is very minimal change in the photographs after four weeks, and I have lost very little on the scale (2lbs). However, I think that this is because a) I have...

No more excuses. After binging over the weekend, I am starting these workouts on Monday with my newly purchased kettlebells combined with my Slow Carb diet. These are from the Building the Perfect Posterior chapter. 20 two legged glute activation exercises (1 set) 15 Flying Dogs (1 set) 50 Kettlebell swings Can it really...

This question is for all the women who are on SCD. I know that women retain water before their period and feeling of being bloated is "normal" for most of us. Still, it's really frustrating to see that all the work does not pay off due to the period weight. I think during this time we need most motivation to support ea...

I guess this isn't so much a question, more of a newb's pondering. So right out of the gate I blew it. I stocked up on tofu and vegetarian meat substitute, only to discover that soy is a no, no and vegetarian meat substitutes have soy AND *gasp* wheat gluten. Doh!! My only excuse is that I found out about 4HB online a couple...

It'd be nice to just POST something, and it not have to be a question...I keep posting things that aren't really 'questions" but its nice to get feedback, etc. I'm not by any means suggesting that 4hourpeople.com become facebook but it would be nice to be able to just make a post, or notes, or something like that Also, a b...

Feel free to sing that title, It's probably going to be in my head the rest of the day! After a long undisciplined hiatus I'm officially back on SCD--for REAL this time, no "just a nibble/spoonful/morsel" I'm a 26 year old female, 5' 5", today's weight 133.8 (yeah--I'm that anal!), last body fat was 25%. I'm super excite...

Hi! I've been in the diet for 2 months already and I have had kind of good starting month with nice result but then after the Xmas holidays came, parties, new year,etc...
