Taking a multi vitamin and vitamin D is okay as the multi usually has minimal D. What level of D are you taking? I'm just taking my usual one per day multi whilst doing slow carb.

What was your original cholesterol that got you on statins? I think statins are given out too freely by doctors and do not show much benefit but a lot of side-effects. What are your numbers now?

I think some flax or olive oil on your salad is perfectly acceptable. Plus, the vitamins in your salad are only absorbed when consumed with a fat. So always have a good fat/oil in your dressing....
