So what exactly does the ice bath accomplish and what would be the best method of going about doing one? Just jump in? Has anyone tried it before? Just c...

I stumbled across this article on Cold Therapy and thought I would share. Perhaps full body ice baths could be replaced with just putting our feet into ice water. http://www.popularmechanics.com/science/health/genetics/4340089

Hi, I was doing cold baths for two days in the row(started with only waist the first day, and increased it till the neck the next day) and I quite like it. So the question is: why is it recommended to take it only 3 times per week? Is it because you build a resistance to cold? and it doesn't work any more?

instead of buying bags of ice.

I didn't want to waste time and money buying 3 bags of ice 3x per week, and my ice maker can only pump out so many cubes of ice in 48 hours. I like to have my ice baths pretty cold but didn't want to buy anything extra. my solution: make jumbo ice-cubes by filling up Tupperware style containers and putting those in the fr...
