This is more of a Before/During than Before/After cuz I'm nowhere near finished! Starting Weight 12/15/10 - 429 Todays Weight 07/10/11 - 328.8 I have 4HB to thank for it. Lots of kettlebells, walking and intermittent fasting. I feel *fantastic* and can't wait to see where I end up by the end of the year. Update 8/19/2...

Here's my final results of my 4-week adventures in Geek to Freak-Land. It's been a crazy month of pill-popping, milk guzzling, protein overdosing, and iron-pumping, and loved every moment of it all. Last night, just in time for my 1-month anniversary, I finally was able to my goal: to complete 1 pull-up from a dead hang wit...

Hi All. I've been on SCD since about mid-April. I haven't been keeping track of inches or lbs, rather I've just been going by how stuff fits. As long as my pants are getting bigger, I'm happy! In the past month I have started Kettlebell Swings and Jogging. So far I am down three sizes and I think around 22 lbs. The photo o...

Ever since reading Martin's blog post last week here: f**karounditis, I've had to restrain myself quite a bit from answering some questions---out of fear of being---'too harsh'. (Even in every day life unrelated to health) I know a few of my answers in the past may have been harsh, so I apologize. But more so I apologize fo...

I read the 4HB and even tried slow carb diet in order to look human for a Caribbean cruise I was getting ready to go on but I never really felt the motivation to take good care of myself. Taking a step back to a few decades ago (has it been that long?), in my twenties, I was bulletproof, eating and doing as I pleased whi...

Has anyone read the book Wheat Belly by William Davis? I read about it in the paper today and it sounds just like the 4HourBody, but with more of the science explained. If you've read it, can you let me know if it's worth the buy? Better or worse than 4HB? http://www.wheatbellyblog.com/

I know that all artificial sweeteners are supposed to stall fat loss, but to what extent? A lot of the protein bars and shakes out there contain sucralose / Splenda. I'm curious to know if I there's a specific limit on how much I can have per day?

I guess this isn't so much a question, more of a newb's pondering. So right out of the gate I blew it. I stocked up on tofu and vegetarian meat substitute, only to discover that soy is a no, no and vegetarian meat substitutes have soy AND *gasp* wheat gluten. Doh!! My only excuse is that I found out about 4HB online a couple...

Hi everyone, it's my 16th day on the SCD and I am so excited! A little about me: I'm a 50 year old woman (yikes!) but most people think I'm about 40. Lol. I've always been thin (115-120 lbs) and some people may think I still am. About 3 years ago, due to my hormones changing and my thyroid taking a major dump, I gained abou...

Or I should make it strict to 1 day, for example Saturday, Friday, Sunday etc. for the time being? I will be glad to move it as I please due to various circumstances (a party/eating out in Japanese restaurant/birt...
