Ok, I've been rereading portions of the book (4th time, now) and I'm seeing something that doesn't make any sense. Tim states that fructose flatlines glucose levels nicely (and for a long time) but advises against using fruits because they increased his iron levels (and cholesterol and a few other measurements) which is bad ...

I read the 4HB and even tried slow carb diet in order to look human for a Caribbean cruise I was getting ready to go on but I never really felt the motivation to take good care of myself. Taking a step back to a few decades ago (has it been that long?), in my twenties, I was bulletproof, eating and doing as I pleased whi...

Hey folks, Breakfasts seem to be the hardest meal for me to ensure compliance with the SCD. I love eggs. Could eat eggs all day. However, I'm always very wary of eating more than three eggs during any one day, as I'm conscious that it might have a significant knock-on effect on my cholesterol levels. Now, I've read th...

So many of you are still under the assumption that dietary cholesterol and saturated fats are bad for you. Has anyone on this diet actually had a result from their doctor? My levels have improved, and I eat 15 whole eggs a week. I also eat plenty of avocados and coconut oil. I believe our obesity situation in the US is d...

This may not sound like party-town to all you young people on here, LOL, but I'm excited, so please share my happiness with me, and since I cannot drink, have a cold one (on cheat day!) and make a toast to Tim for me! I've been on meds for high blood pressure for at least 5 years now. The past several weeks, my blood pr...

I just came from a class on protein and some of the myths around it. It is warping my brain, after 6 months on SCD and making sure to get at least 30g protein at breakfast, and 20g min at lunch and at dinner. On SCD, I've come to believe that protein is practically king, but according to this information, I have been gettin...

I usually use that in my morning protein shake and haven't since starting this, but would prefer that over the vanilla powder that I have been adding for the additional protein. I know that peanuts are not allowed, but I thought I 'd get some opinions before I use it. Here's the nutritional info: PB2: Powdered Peanut Butt...
