There is a lot being written now about the role of Leptin and Leptin Resistance in obesity (and many other metabolic related conditions) that is well worth knowing something about if you are into re-forming your body. It also has answered for me a lot of the questions about how come the 4HB approach works the way it does. W...

I have struggled with weight my whole life, but a year and a half ago I decided to make a change. I did a diet that was similar to the slow-carb diet, but it lacked sustainability. I hear Tim Ferris on the Joe Rogan Experience and was instantly blown away by his immense knowledge. I got the book and love the diet so far!

I am a bit confused and could use some assistance. I know that I am supposed to eat until full. What are the recommendation though, as to ratio of meat to beans to vegies? And...should I try to maintain these ratios at each meal? Thanks again everyone. I always appreciate your assistance. Mike

Hi everyone, it's my 16th day on the SCD and I am so excited! A little about me: I'm a 50 year old woman (yikes!) but most people think I'm about 40. Lol. I've always been thin (115-120 lbs) and some people may think I still am. About 3 years ago, due to my hormones changing and my thyroid taking a major dump, I gained abou...
