I would definitely prefer grass fed organic eggs, but our family is on a tight budget. I can buy 3 dozen "regular" eggs at BJ's for $3.80. Will weight loss be affected if I stick with the cheap ones? TIA!! Angela

Hello - Does anyone have any suggestion for a thickener for soups and sauces? In the past, before SCD, I use flour in roux and cornstarch in a pinch. Would tapioca or arrowroot be suitable replacements?

Hi Because Tim F said we could put up to 2tbsp of cream in our coffee, I assume then it is okay to put that cream to use in sauces instead? Is coconut milk okay? Also can I use lemon juice in salad dressings? Many thanks, Paula

I really hate Spinach. In the book he's pretty clear about Spinachs effect on recomp. Is there anyway substitiute for spinach? And if not any one have recipes to make it taste ok?

I started eating lentils with my every meal but i sometimes skip on the vegetables. Is there any esential vegetable i should eat at every meal ? I kinda dislike frozen spinach/brocoli/cauliflower and i can't find them fresh all the time.

I think they are SCD friendly yet, when I eat them I feel an overwhelming sense of guilt. I know they have sugar in them so it doesnt make much sense to me to eat, I am not over eating them but they do appear in my diet from time to time. Am I over-thinking it?

Just as the title says. My wife and I have been doing the SCD for 2 1/2 weeks and have seen noticable results but she swears up and down its fine because it doesn't have sugar or carbs in it. Also on the label it doesn't list aspartame. I would just like some clairifaction.

Well I finally figured out how to get almond butter in the UK... I sells in Holland and Barret for £2.65 for 170gr. I think that makes it about the same price as cocaine, and does nothing to dispel the idea that this is a diet for the rich. boo

I tend to eat a cup or two of sugar free jello after each meal. Will this affect the diet? It has sweetener in it but I've been avoiding diet soda so that my total intake for the day isn't much more than the equivalent of 16oz. Has anyone else noticed this having a negative affect on their diet?

Quick question... I drink 14-18 cups of water a day but i have found that this can be very annoying and interrupts my work often because of the bathroom breaks required.
