Are women finding success with 4 Hour Body? Over at 4-HBTalk we are discussing this and the women are not seeing very good results. Any feedback you can offer? I read about Laura Cox on this site - way to go. She changed things up - no beans at main meals, no snacks. Look forward to your replies.

I posted this on my website, but wanted to share it here. On June 14, 2011 I started the slow carb diet, a weight loss plan prescribed by Tim Ferriss in his book, the 4 Hour Body. In just a few months I went from 187 to 160 lbs, going from a large to a medium in shirts and from 36-34 waist in jean size to 30. It’s an ...

So it's the end of week 6 on Slow Carb Diet, and I FINALLY got the thing kicked into high gear. The first few weeks, I may or may not have lost around 5 pounds; I don't know what was fluid and what wasn't. I once lost 70 pounds dieting the traditional way and exercising my ass off (and kept most of it off), and lessons from...

What Motivated you all to begin? It seem very overwhelming. I have told other's about the book and its a good read.

Looks like I've reached my weigh loss goal, and some! My goal was to go from 125lbs at 22% to 105 and 18%... I've fallen off track a few times, jumped back on, and 2 months later I'm at 103 lbs and I'm guessing (I'm going to finish off this week and take an average of the body fat %) that I'm at 15% body fat now. I'll po...

Hey guys, I'm trying to keep a reasonable amount of lean muscle mass on my fairly slim frame. Been doing primarily CrossFit training and Wing Chun to keep fit/sane. However, I love to run and where possible, compete in shorter races (5k, 10k) - how much should I be running and what time of day is best?

Last week, I got re-assessed by my physio team. For those that don't know, I am recovering from a car accident almost 3 years ago. At the clinic, I walked right past that surgeon that told me that I would be stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. He was patronizing as usual and made some remark about being grateful f...

my boyfriend has skeptically accepted the challenge of 4 Hour Body (he doesn't think it'll work & is WRONG) The biggest problem is that I didn't realize exactly how severe his potato chip addiction is. He's obsessed. I've heard of kale chips (we'll be trying those next), but does anyone have other suggestions to salty crun...

So, people - how much beans do you eat for a meal? I ask this because I saw a carb-chart somewhere on this site, and it says that maintaining your daily carb intake below 100g / day is best for weight loss. My 800g bean can lasts 2 days. That means I’m averaging 400g of beans per day. Because I eat them with each of my ...
