Hello, In the first Chapter, under "Rapid Fat Loss" Tim doesn't tell you to read the "Damage Control" chapter. So I thought that there was no need to follow them on my weekly cheat day. Is it really necessary?

Second week in a row that it takes me 3 full days to get down to my pre-cheat day weight (mon, tues, wednes) This morning finally down to 279 again. I have been pushing water like crazy, 1.5-2 gallons a day. But what I wonder is, how long it takes most of you to get over the cheat day weight? Can we make this faster? Afteral...

Hello all! This is my first week on the slow carb diet, but I love it! I feel spoiled by the diet since I've been fitness/health conscious for the past 6-7 years, and now realize that I've been doing too much cardio and not enough lifting. I've never been toned and have never had a low bf %, so that's what my main focu...

I see a lot of posts and suggestions that whey causes a spike in blood sugar. It's not true as far as I have tested. If I drink a single shake -- 24 grams protein, 5 fiber, 7 carbs (2-3 ECC), I don't get a rise in blood sugar. I have to almost double it to 40 grams of protein to get a 10 point rise in Blood sugar. I would no...

Hello - Does anyone have any suggestion for a thickener for soups and sauces? In the past, before SCD, I use flour in roux and cornstarch in a pinch. Would tapioca or arrowroot be suitable replacements?

Hey guys, So I love hard boiled eggs, but how do you stop the shell and skin sticking together?. Makes a messy job of peeling them. There must be some Top Chef trick or something out there. Thanks Deb

Hello I'm GravyDavey and I have been on the SCD for 1 week as of tomorrow. I had a cheat day yesterday but didn't overdo it too much, I think. I have at least 60 lbs to lose and am wondering what a good weekly loss would be? Regards DD

Hello everyone! I am here with another question. My cheat day is accidentally "moving" during week, is it okay? Or I should make it strict to 1 day, for example Saturday, Friday, Sunday etc. for the time being? I will be glad to move it as I please due to various circumstances (a party/eating out in Japanese restaurant/birt...

Hello all, Thanks for all the great posts here. I appreciate the work the community does to support and help each other. I am considering trying to get my father interested in the SCD and I am very intrigued by Tim's story of the success his father had simply by having a protein shake in the morning. He has at least 50 lbs...

Hello Everyone! I was recently referred to needing a 'harajuku moment' (that special intense moment needed in order to decide for making a dramatic shift and getting things going). I'm not sure if I had that moment yet but I might have had a moment strong enough to get me going anyway. Now, I thought I'd start this potentia...
